Program details:
- Youth Rec is for middle and high school students.
- No experience is required.
- Rec practices 2x per week, Tue 4:45pm-6:45pm and Sat 10am-12pm.
- Rec is a great option if there are schedule limitations and or for younger participants.
- Youth Rec is noncompetitive.
- Limited seats available.
Rowing requires the mental and physical maturity typically found in middle and high school students, making this an ideal age to begin.
If your youth is looking for a competitive sport, we recommend joining the Youth Competitive program HERE. All of our rowers begin with no experience and join rowing from various sporting backgrounds, or none at all.

We encourage completing registration promptly as seats are allocated on a first fully registered basis. Registration has been closed previously when filled and a waitlist implemented. Coaches begin planning, allocating boats, oars, and staff, immediately upon completed registrations. Once capacity is reached, registration will close and partial registrations will be refunded and given the option to be placed on the waitlist. All account balances must be paid in full before a new registration is permitted.
Practice Cancellations:
In the event a practice is cancelled due to weather or a programming need, coaches will make every effort to reschedule. The week following the end of the season will be reserved for weather cancellation makeups.
Row Georgia is a year-round nonprofit rowing program proudly operating under the authority of Fayette County. Our facility is located on beautiful Lake McIntosh. The lake is owned and operated by Fayette County. Programs include spring, summer, fall, and winter seasons. The program offers rowing for middle school, high school, and adults. Private lessons are based on availability.
Practices are held at Lake McIntosh, 3501 TDK Blvd. Peachtree City, Ga. We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization established in August 2015 to encourage and further the instruction, improvement, and competition in and the enjoyment of the art of rowing. Fees raised through our programs are used to fund coach salaries, equipment leases, insurance, and other operational expenses. Only coaches are paid, all other operations are provided by volunteers who support the program.
As a 501(c)(3), donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Completion of transaction does not indicate enrollment. All participants must be; in good financial standing, have all dues paid in full and on time, must be in good code of conduct standing, and have submitted all requirements, as determined by US Rowing, Fayette County, and Row Georgia.
